Being Nice Gets Women to Date

Your first date with a girl you really like can be nerve-racking. Mustering enough courage to come up to her and ask her out (which wouldn’t take you more than five minutes, really) is hard enough. But what if you have a whole night to converse? How do you foolproof your first date?

You should start, of course, with improving your communication skills. Be watchful on body language. Note how clear body signals alone can be. It would be great if you can establish a rapport with your date right on the first meeting, but since this isn’t a Hollywood movie and love at first sight could hardly be counted on, the best that you can do is to keep the conversation as free-flowing and relaxing as possible.

While both of are seated at that cozy dining table or stone park bench, focus your attention on her. Don’t go on looking at other people passing by, scantily-dressed women in particular. If you fidget and move around so much, she’ll think you’re bored or really, really nervous. Make her feel she holds your attention. After all, your main goal is to get to know her better.

Now, if you want to get her to talk some more, or to warm up to you, try asking open-ended questions. Questions starting with ‘what’ and ‘how’ are more likely to encourage conversation as compared to yes-no questions. And while she shares some information about herself, listen attentively. Every good conversationalist is a good listener as well.

There’s a myriad of topics you can choose from. Impress her with your expertise on topics close to your heart. Get updated on current issues so you can talk about what’s going on in your side of the world. Music is always the logical choice for an ice-breaker, as music is the universal language.

Like in any getting-to-know-you conversation, talking about hobbies is often the most important and the most enjoyable part in a date. Try asking her what she usually does during her spare time. Be it on travel, photography or cooking, you’ll almost always discover a common interest with her.

Talk about pets, if she has one. People tend to get really animated when talking about pets, so this one way to get her to talk more and put her at ease. If she doesn’t have one, ask why. This way, you’ll be able to keep the conversation smooth-flowing.

If you talk more about stuff that you both like, you’ll have a more relaxed and comfortable time with each other. Not only will you be less nervous, you’ll also have a greater chance of an enjoyable date night and, maybe, even a second date.
